Set up email on Android

Tech Support

Step 1. Go to Settings on the Android device. (If you are using a Samsung device, it may appear in a folder called "Samsung")

Step 2. Go to Accounts.

Step 3. Select Add Account.

Step 4. Choose Email from the options.

Step 5. Type your FULL Email Address in the Address box i.e johnsmith@yourdomainname.co.uk.

Step 6. Type the Password for this email address (provided in your welcome letter) then choose next.

Step 7. Choose the POP3 option.

Step 8. Enter the information below into the relevant areas:-
Incoming Mail Server / Outgoing Mail Server (Settings are the same for both servers)

  • Host Name: mail.yourdomainname.co.uk
  • Username: This is your FULL email address.
  • Password: (provided in your welcome letter)

Step 9. Change the Check Frequency to Every 15 Minutes, tick the Notify Me When Email Arrives and Sync Email.

Step 10. Set the Account Name.

Step 11. Set your Name which is displayed on the Recipients Email.

Step 12. Select Finish Setup, to complete the the set up. You should now be able to send and receive emails from your phone!
