Our manager said that I am too old to be rolling around, naked, in the snow. My reply was “That isn’t the worst weather I’ve been naked in!” – He said, “We won’t even GO there!”

So I thought that I will try to promote Naturism – it isn’t for perverts, as most people believe, it’s wonderful not to be encumbered by clothes, to feel absolutely free. Take a look at the British Naturism Website here.

My first encounter, in public, apart from private swimming sessions at South Forest Leisure Centre, in Edwinstowe, near Mansfield; was a freezing cold day on the Nudist Beach a few miles South of Bridlington, in September a few years ago. Once my body got used to the cold, it was actually warmer (just!) than the chilly wind on the beach.

My next public sortie was a couple of years ago; my, then fiancée, now my wife, Karen, and I went to a British Naturism event in the grounds of Castle Howard, in North Yorkshire.

Aside from the boggy ground that day – it had rained profusely the night before, we actually had sleet – and as that comes quite keen on bodies, we sheltered until after it stopped. Sleet in August was quite unusual, but locals said, not in their neck of the woods, it isn’t.

There were several hundred BN Members there that day, and most of them were there for the weekend, camping or motor homes. Both Karen & I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and took lots of photographs; unfortunately, they’re at home, not here at getyouonline.

How many of our readers are, like Karen & me – naturists? Please comment below if you care to reply.
